PAINTINGS

Here are the paintings I’ve completed, varnished, and framed. I’ve always loved working with acrylics because it’s tasty to lick off my fingers between sessions – especially those spicy cadmium pigments! (That’s a joke, please don’t do that.)

There are other paintings out there that I never did all that for, but these are the pieces I’ve put the love and effort into making fully gallery-ready. I want these to be practically and aesthetically satisfying objects in addition to works of art, with considerations made for day-to-day living, as well as the realities of time and space. To that end, keeping with my love of carpentry, I’ve made sure that every work you see here has been properly varnished, framed and labeled with consideration for the rest of the piece, and then further protected via several polyurethane/shellac/polycrylic topcoats applied to the frame. You ought to be able to touch a ridge on the painting’s surface, leave it in a sunny spot, or accidentally bump the frame against the wall without causing a catastrophe, don’t you think? Me too.

You can find all the details unique to each painting by clicking on it below. Thanks for checking ’em out! ♥
